Join Harlem-born filmmaker Rachelle Salnave for DUAL CITIZEN at DOC NYC—a deeply personal father–daughter journey into Haiti, identity, and the meaning of belonging.
When Haiti changes its constitution to recognize dual citizenship, Rachelle and her father, Édouard Salnave, set out to discover what that promise means in practice. Their journey brings family, history, and the Haitian diaspora’s relationship with home into focus.
Stay after the screening for an in-person Q&A with director Rachelle Salnave and cinematographers Marc Baptiste and Estaïlove St-Val.
